Again, it has been a long time since I have posted on here. I am still actively building. I just finished up a custom ordered “SG” style guitar for a gal’s 18th birthday. I was part of the 1st annual Cruiser’s/ Marcus Daniels Luthiery Firefighter Banquet. 3 great bands played: opened with The Girls Next Door (formerly Dirt), then White Trash Romeo, and closed out with The Hankers. All were awesome! All bands had members that own and played on my guitars. That’s really what I want, is for my instruments to be played. Seeing them on stage is the best feeling. Hopefully next year the show will be bigger and better, without any hiccups. All in all it was perfect. There will be another show coming up in December celebrating Lynn Ellsworth and Wayne Charvel. Will share more as I know more.

Coming up on November 14-15 is the annual Spokane Folk Fest at Spokane Community College. I will be there along with a few other fellow builders. I will have a few instruments for sale, including my latest steel string guitar that wasn’t quite finished last year. I will also have the Piccolo Classical and more than likely an electric bass or 2. Come on out, give them a try. I will have special show pricing on the instruments.

As always, you can check out my day to day work on Facebook and Instagram

It has been a while since I have posted any updates on here. I assure you I am still actively building and repairing instruments. I have limited space on this website so I do all my daily posting on my Facebook page and Instagram.

I have several instruments I am building for clients and have started many side projects that will be available upon completion.

I have taken on a part time side job and so my shop hours have been reduced slightly. Please contact me directly, through Facebook/Messenger, to set a time to come out to my shop if you are in need of repair work or are interested in an instrument.

I will once again be attending the Spokane Fall Folk Festival at Spokane Community College on November 8 & 9. Come by and see me, my work, and a few other local luthiers that I will be sharing a table with.

I finally got the concrete poured for my shop. Should be starting construction of the building by March at the latest. Hope to be in my new shop by summer. I have updated my pricing on my repair page, any questions don’t hesitate to ask. There are 3 instruments still up for sale at Fingerswagger in Spokane Valley. They are a Strat style, Tele style, and a PBass style. They are all Expo ’74, 50th Celebration themed. I also have an MD bass and another Tele style for sale. At the moment the Tele is on loan to a potential buyer.

Thank you to everyone that has stuck with me through all the years. I’ve been very fortunate to do what I love. And a huge thanks to my wife for all her support.

Had a great weekend at Spokane Fall Folk Festival 2024! Talked with tons of people. Spent time with a couple luthiers that shared space with me.

I have a Tele style electric guitar and an MD bass for sale. Please use the form located to the right side of the page to contact me if interested.

I have been doing guitar repair and custom building now for 20 years. In February I’ll be in business for 20 years. It has been at least 10 years since I increased my prices and it is time for me to do so again. So, starting January 1, 2025 my shop prices will increase. Some services won’t be affected, but others will. Should have my repair services page updated on the 1st of January.

Thank you to everyone that has been a customer over the years and all those that help spread word about what I do.

I will have a booth and a few instruments on display and hopefully a few for sale. Come on out and see me!

The shopping cart should be up and running! The “add to cart” buttons are below the item you wish to purchase. You can change quantity in the cart. Shipping will be added automatically. For those in Washington state you will be charged tax. The “view shopping cart” button is toward the top right of the page.

International customers, please use the contact form at the right if you would like to purchase anything from my site and I will get a quote for shipping.

If you have any issues please let me know with the contact form at the right or directly at mdluthiery@gmail.com

Thanks!
